[Solved] Office 2013/2016: Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper has stopped working

If you got this while trying to set up MS Office:

ERROR CODE: UnexpectedError

MSI HRESULT: Unspecified

ERROR DETAILS: C6F06531

FIRST ERROR CODE: UnexpectedError

OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.4

Locale ID: 2057

Try to go to: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local and find file named like: SetupExe(2016061916592618A0).log

Check it for lines like:

2016/06/19 16:55:18:512::[8664] Error: Failed to detect Office Source Engine Service: cannot get access to the Office Source Engine service config infomation ErrorCode: 2(0x2).

If you got any, you need to repair OSE service. Try this steps:

1. Go to Office install disc. Find ose.exe and osetup.dll
2. Create a folder for OSE: C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Source Engine
3. Copy the OSE.exe file to that folder
4. Restart your machine
5. Try to install Office again :)
