Love your column, Brett! Small point, but in Solution 1, the statement “ it’s regular because it’s convex” implies that all convex polygons are regular, which of course is not true. This dodecahedron is regular because it has 12 sides of equal length and 12 interior angles of equal measure. That all regular polygons are convex is a trivial consequence.
