The frustration with talking about implicit bias is no one wants to admit they suffer from it.

That’s not exactly the case. Ellen Pao is a current “red flag” but, those of us who deal with workplace discrimination on a daily basis have observed a huge rise in overt anti-black racism in this nation these past few years of our first black president’s tenure in office. Trust me: we’re talking about the phenomenon every single day — and how to combat this odious aspect of our society.

The anti-human model is alive and well, as is the fact that the majority of black citizens are slave descendants.

Biology belies the fundamental basis for racial disparity — we’re all human beings and racism is a cultural meme (See, J. M. Balkin, Cultural Software, Yale University Press 2002) that can be changed.

Your observations are directly on point. A shame that you could never sit on any jury in a case of mine — the defense would find a dozen reasons to strike before you even sat down for voir dire.

The battle goes on.
