Introducing GroveWars: Next-Generation Game Platform Powered by Theta Subchain + EdgeCloud AI
Today I am thrilled to announce our new project GroveWars, a Web3 gaming subchain powered by Theta Network, coming soon exclusively to the Theta community! GroveWars debuts on the heels of one of the most successful NFT drops in Theta Network’s history, the Secret Pineapples Society, a generative NFT project we launched on ThetaDrop in 2021 which generated millions in sales.
GroveWars is a unique gaming platform that will push the limits of Web3 gaming. With characters, gameplay, items and customizations powered by Theta’s cutting edge efforts in its upcoming EdgeCloud AI and machine learning platform, GroveWars will reinvent gaming for audiences around the world.
GroveWars features the return of the iconic Pineapples, along with a host of other fruit and vegetable characters — some heroic, some evil — who will do battle for supremacy in the Grove. With groundbreaking 3D graphics and a robust set of in-app purchases, items, character customizations and more, GroveWars aims to set itself apart from its competition in Web3 gaming and provide a memorable user experience for the Theta community.

Before the launch of the full immersive GroveWars experience later this year, a 3D ‘Character Builder’ application, which will enable users to customize various Grove characters with a multitude of weapons, accessories and apparel, will debut in May 2024 and preview the world of GroveWars to come.
New GROVE Token and White Paper
Both the Character Builder application and the complete GroveWars experience will be further enhanced by the introduction of the GROVE Token, a native TNT-20 token built on Theta which will provide significant utility for users throughout the game experience.
By owning GROVE token, users will be able to purchase various premium in-game items including weapons, accessories and apparel, to enhance their in-game experience and increase their chances of success on the battlefield. In addition, GROVE token holders will have the opportunity to stake their tokens in their Theta wallet, earning additional rewards for participating in the governance and security of the Grove subchain.
