- What is the percentage of GROVE allocation for Pine holders?
As described in slides 21–22 of the latest white paper, 7.5% of the total supply of GROVE or 75 Million GROVE is allocated to Pine holders. An initial airdrop is scheduled for July 2024 equal to 9.375 million GROVE or ⅛ of the total, with the remainder distributed to Pines holders on a quarterly basis over the following 7 quarters through April 2026.
2. How much GROVE do I get, how is the percentage determined per Pine?
It is based on the rarest single attribute of the pine. These rarities are broken into 11 separate tiers based on multiple variables that determine what is “rare” by looking at 3 factors: individual rare attributes, historical and current sales.
3. Will there be staking of Pineapples in the future, and if so, how will it work?
Yes, more details will be shared soon but we’re excited to unveil this to the community.
4. What is the utility of the GROVE token?
GROVE will offer three main utilities in the coming months, with more to be announced later in the year:
(I) users will be able to utilize GROVE tokens to make a variety of in-app and in-game purchases and enhancements including (i) character features and customizations, (ii) apparel, (iii) weapons / battle items and (iv) additional items to be released over time,
(II) users will be able to use GROVE tokens to mint unique NFTs that represent the character builder 3D model with a main character, and any combination of weapons, apparel and accessories, and
(III) users will be able to utilize GROVE tokens to participate in periodic GroveWars tournaments, seasonal events and additional in-game activities to be launched later.
5. Will there be a DEX set up and the ability to stake GROVE tokens?
For those who would like to swap GROVE to and from other tokens such as TFUEL, we will be sharing a separate blog explaining how to use decentralized exchanges (DEX) like ThetaSwap that will support GROVE. We will also release the ability to stake GROVE tokens and help govern and secure the Grove subchain, and in return earn GROVE rewards.
Both of these will be released in the next few weeks.
6. How and where will we receive our GROVE tokens? Do our pines have to be on or off the ThetaDrop, or does it not matter?
Pine NFTs would need to be withdrawn out of ThetaDrop or other custodial platforms into your own, non-custodial wallet. A snapshot will be taken at a point in time and GROVE tokens will be airdropped directly to your wallet. In any case, we will announce ahead of time and give community members ample time to prepare.
GROVE tokens can then be accessed via the Theta web wallet, iOS/Android mobile wallets, and Metamask. See the description below for an example of how GROVE would appear in your wallet.
Once you’re in your Theta wallet, you will be able to check the balance, and send and receive GROVE along with THETA, TFUEL, TDROP and other TNT-20 tokens.
7. Will I miss out on my initial GROVE allocation if my pines aren’t in the right place before the snapshot?
See question 6) above but we will announce ahead of time and give community members ample time to prepare.
8. How far away is the GroveWars game from coming out, and do I have to wait until then to use the GROVE token?
The GroveWars platform and Web3 game is under development now, and is estimated to launch in 2025. Beta versions will be released where the community can experience the excitement and provide feedback and suggestions to the development team. However, GROVE tokens will first be utilized in the 3D Character builder game which is slated to launch in the next few months.
9. Will pines in containers be eligible for airdrop?
Pines in containers are NOT eligible for airdrop.
