Darth Vador

Negativity runs rampant amongst people with ambitious goals. The other day I told someone of my interest in entrepreneurship and they responded with:
“You want to be an entrepreneur? You should really reconsider your career path… Do you know that 60% of small businesses fail?”
Yeah. I do realize that 60% of small businesses fail and I am aware of how much work goes into building a business…
I don’t understand why people try and instill their negative thinking on other people. What is the benefit of putting someone else down? Is the crux of their behavior backed by insecurity? Is it envy? I don’t get it.
Why buy into other people’s negativity? In fact, why believe other people’s opinions of you if it’s negative? Why not be in tune with your passion and strive to be the best within your niche.
If you love art, be the next Picasso. Love business? Build an empire. Love entrepreneurship? Create your masterpiece.
If you have seen Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, pay close attention to the ending scene with Darth Vador.
Dark Vador is an unstoppable force who sheds no mercy on anything attempting to impede his forward progress. You should approach your goals, business ventures, ambitions, and dreams with the same demeanor. Tune out all the negative energy and focus on becoming the best version of yourself, so you too can dominate your space.
Here’s my .02:
Find positivity in negativity
It may sound like a daunting task, but realize remaining positive is a choice. No matter what you’re going through you can find positivity in any situation you encounter. I suggest reading Shad Helmstetter’s, What to Say When You Talk to Yourself.
Visualize what achieving your goals looks like, then take action
In Napolean Hill’s, Think and Grow Rich, Hill talks about the sixth sense principle. The sixth sense is the component of the subconscious mind which has been referred to as the “Creative Imagination.” It has also been referred to as the “receiving set,” through which ideas, plans, and thoughts flash into the mind. The “flashes” are sometimes called hunches or inspirations. Essentially, have a clear picture of what it would look like, feel like, and sounds like to have your goal achieved then wait and listen to your innate communication mechanism to give you inspiration. After, take action!
