3 1/2 Reasons I’m Going All In With My Personal Brand — Christopher Ray Coleman

If you’re reading this guess what…you have a personal brand! In the world of social media, a camera in everyone hands, and screenshots; you’re known for something. It may be good or it may be good. Or you may not be known at all which makes you pretty much non-existent today. But the point is your personal brand aka reputation is being captained by you or someone else.

I first had this realization a year ago when I saw someone I haven't seen for a year a so. As soon as he saw me he said; “Mr. Health Is Wealth! What’s up!”. I had recently gone on a string campaign establishing myself as the #HealthIsWealthGuy and building my Health Is Wealth Nation; this was the first time I saw that branding transcend offline. As soon as someone saw me the first thing the thought was “Health Is Wealth”. Another instance happened where a great friend of mine was having a conversation with her mom about “our health being our health”; she instantly thought of me!

These situations showed me that it was working and my personal brand was reaching people! It’s been my goal to lead from the front and create so much attention that it trickled down to people in my organization of people associated with me since August 2015. And I didn’t go all in with my personal brand until last month; August 2018. The 3 years I was hesitant was time well used but also time well wasted. I learned a ton through trial and error. And gained so much clarity on my vision.

Now I’m sure you’re thinking “3 1/2 reasons; what does that mean?” So I’ll knock out the half reason now. And just to be honest I want to go all in with my personal brand to be famous; there I said it! Like I said the more attention I have on me the more will trickle down to people on my team and people associated with me so I need my name to be known worldwide, to be featured in magazines, on podcasts/interviews, and even on TV. Buttttt I’m a bit of an introvert soooo it’s something I constantly fight against. I just want to lay in the bed and recuperate just form thinking about all the attention that will be on me. But my vision is going to take extroverted actions so that’s why this is a 1/2 reason.

Ok, on to the 3 main reasons!

1. There’s A Void To Fill

I’ve been studying thought leaders, influencers, and entrepreneurs since April 2013 when I started a sales job after being homeless. There was representation within this group from people being young, looked like me, or talked like me. But there was nobody that encompassed everything. And nobody from my area. Don’t get me wrong there are some amazing people doing some amazing things in my area. But nobody has what I can bring to the table. New York has GaryVee, Miami has Grant Cardone, Detroit has Eric Thomas, California has Lewis Howes and Tai Lopez. Well Mobile, Al…New Orleans…and the South period is about to have Christopher Ray Coleman.

2. More Opportunities

Many people with huge personal brands have done amazing things for their organizations, alma maters, and communities. Grant Cardone puts on the 10X Growth Conference; one of the biggest business conferences in the world; and the city he chooses sees a huge surge of economic growth from hotels, restaurants, etc. Eric Thomas received a Ph.D. Michigan State University and still holds a personal development workshop at the school for students. Bedros Keuilan is the owner of Fit Body Boot Camp; which has become so successful he no longer had “business goals”. His goal now is to out-donate Justin Timberlake via the Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago! How awesome is that! All of these guys are amazing business owners but have a personal brand that provides so many opportunities. I won’t share any of my huge goals yet mainly because I want you to go “wait what?” when I make them happen!

3. Legacy!

Not to get too deep but I want to be immortal. Someone recently asked me who’s my idol and the first person that came to mind was Nelson Mandela. I don’t care who you are or where on Earth you live; you’ve heard the name Nelson Mandela. You may not know exactly what he did when he was alive but you’ve heard the name. He’s one of the very few people that’s universally and unanimously known as a great leader! It’s hard to find someone that will say otherwise about him. Don’t want to make this a “who is Nelson Mandela” article because believe me I can talk about Mr. Mandela all day. But when I think about the legacy I want to leave behind it’s definitely on that level. I want to leave behind a name my children will be proud of and will by default shape the person they become because they’re a Coleman.

As I’m writing this I’m working on my website(ChristopherRayColeman.com). I’m pumped to see how big this thing gets and how many people that won’t only be impacted by this but will also benefit from this. For the longest, I’ve believed that “Chris winning guarantees many win”. And that’s becoming clearer and clearer every single day!

One Last Thing…
