What farm? Not plants. Tokens.
Money.
If you use X (formerly known as Twitter) a lot, you must have seen $BLOCK posts a couple of times plus a host of others like $PARAM and stuff. I've been seeing them for a long time but I was not really concerned.
I knew it was something like NFTs and crypto and online money but what really made me interested in the topic was a Tweet one of these “farmers” made.
Let me share it so you’ll see why it suddenly interested me 👇🏽
I like the creativity in it, “white man has me back in the fields.” I saw it and burst into laughter. Like, what was that? 😂 This X user mehn
Then I became curious. How exactly does this stuff work? I thought of writing something about it, then I thought about the research I would have to do and dismissed the thought. Yes, I hate research.
I woke up this morning with the idea nagging me and I was like, “Oh well. I need the info too. Let's just do it.”
Then I went on Google and tried a lot of search words to get my info. I tried “What is crypto farming?” “What is $BLOCK farming?” “$BLOCK farming on X” and so on. Google kept bringing up something on a different “block farming”, something in agriculture that is practiced in some countries for some reason. Maybe one day I will investigate that block farming and see what it is about.
I finally tried “What is $BLOCK airdrop about?” and Google finally gave me the answers I was looking for.
This article from nftnow.com gave me a comprehensive gist of the stuff, especially for $BLOCK.
What is $BLOCK farming?
$BLOCK farming involves several activities that earn you “points” from BlockGames. These points will be converted to money later at a conversion rate that is not certain yet but is to be announced on Monday the 8th of April (hopefully).
The article and an active $BLOCK farmer, Tom, say the activities include:
- Completing missions in games offered by BlockGames.
- Buying dice and stuff from BlockGames and their affiliated games.
- Posting stuff on X (formerly known as Twitter) mentioning $BLOCK and their X account, BlockGames.
The $BLOCK farmers have an ETH account connected to their BlockGames account and this ETH account is where they will be getting their payments when it finally, HOPEFULLY, happens.
Why is $BLOCK farming?

Remember that scene in Infinity War where the Star Lord folks met Tony's squad and they all got into a fight.
Peter asked, “Where is Gamora?”
Tony replied with, “Who is Gamora?”
And Drax screamed, “Why is Gamora?”
Mehn, need something from Marvel soon.
Anyhow, back to farming.
BlockGames’ aim is to sell game players’ data to game developers. Data like how long players play, what they like playing, what ads they watch, and that stuff. The data is important for game developers so they can make their games better and stuff.
(Forgive all my “and stuff” use. The matter is still not very, very clear to me.)
Anyhow, BlockGames does not want to help just the game developers. They feel like the players should get some kind of reward. I mean, they profiting off players’ time. So, they introduced the $BLOCK token.
Now, enthusiastic mobile game players can get rewards for all the time they spend playing, anyhow most of them will play without the rewards.
More? You can choose to increase your rewards by purchasing stuff from the developers and the developers’ affiliates.
Anyhow, again, people have been doing it for a while and rewards are hopefully (🌚) coming this Monday.

You might want to jump on the other trains though. Tokens like ‘$PARAM’, and ‘$BUBBLE’, and I even saw one ‘mojo’ that made me remember Mojo Jojo from PowerPuff Girls. You might be interested. Before it is too late to get anything.
I mean, you spend so much time on your phone already, don't you? Why not do something that MIGHT give you money in return for your time?
