20 Greatest Plays in MLB History (With Videos)

Baseball is full of unforgettable moments. Diving catches, walk-off home runs, and clutch throws. These plays are what make the game special. If you’re a fan of baseball, you’ve probably seen, and may have actually caught some of these moments live. Personally, I could watch them all 100 times. Reliving each moment can be the highlight to my day. Anyway, here’s some of the greatest plays in MLB history, with links to watch them for yourself.

1. Leaps OVER The Wall: When Jackson leaped over the wall to make a beautiful catch.
2. Between the Legs Tag: Sosa jumped up and caught a throw down and tagged the runner attempting to steal 2nd.
3. Out of the park and onto a car: Ball was launched out of the park and hit a car’s windshield.
4. He KICKED a Baseball: O’Neil couldn’t get a hold of the baseball, so he kicked it to a teammate.
5. Barehanded catch when it was hit THAT HARD: Sanchez overran the pop fly to the outfield and reached out and caught the ball with his bare hand.
6. “HIKE” — said the pitcher probably: Pitcher threw the ball between his legs to 1st baseman for the out.
7. He stole EVERYTHING: Elly De La Cruz steals 3 bases on 2 pitches…
8. Quick thinking when the ball is stuck: Comebacker to Yankees pitcher where the ball gets stuck in his glove so he throws the glove to 1st base!
9. Bo Jackson throwing laser beams: He threw from right field to 3rd base. The man is a freak (in a good way)
10. He BLEW it foul: Randall for the Mariners blows a ball foul.
11. It didn’t touch the ground: Comebacker bounced off Jacob Jr.’s foot for a double play.
12. 2.17 seconds for 3 outs: Phillies get a triple play (3 outs) in 2.17 seconds.
13. Teamwork gets the out: Pop fly is almost caught by one player who bounces the ball to a teammate who catches it.
14. He annihilated that bird: Will hit a bird on a double.
15. Inside the park HOMER in the 10th is wild: Inside the park home run to win the game in the bottom of the 10th.
16. Derek Jeter with 1000 IQ Play: Jeter runs from shortstop to catch a throw from right field to pass it to the catcher…
17. DOUBLE PLAY on a WALK: They walked someone then threw out 2 people.
18. Pulled him off the bag for an out: Gant was pulled off of 1st base and then called out. One of the biggest blunders an ump has ever made.
19. Bo Jackson is Spiderman: When Bo Jackson caught the ball on the run and then ran up the wall because he had to much momentum.
20. Downfall of the Cubs: When a fan caught the foul ball that the Cubs needed. That moment haunted the Cubs for years.
