Please Stop Using Adblock (But Not Why You Think)

I don’t know how anyone can bear to use the internet without an Ad-Blocker, Samuel, but what you have described is simply a very lucrative Protection Racket. Thank you for the pointers to Ad Blockers that operate differently, though I wonder how long they will remain viable in such a climate?

Sometimes a site will display a request to disable the Ad-Blocker, or will advise that content will only be accessible if the site is Whitelisted or the Ad-Blocker is disabled for that site. Do you know how these notices, and subsequent Whitelisting or Ad-Block disabling, fit in with the system you have described?
