A Students Lessons @ The Marquette Digital Summit

I walked away from the Digital Summit with a few key take-aways.

  1. The understanding that we need to tell stories because reason leads to conclusiton, but emotion leads to action.

It taks more then facts to engage an audience. For example, TIME did a story on ESPN’s growing interest in e-sports or pro-gaming. ESPN took a seemingly uninteresting topic and turned it into a perceived sports movement by telling its story.

2. Technology Changes Behavior. This is explained by my next point.

3. Millennials are soundtraking their lives. Your behavior on media can help to determine what generation your in and how your generation interacts with media acts as a history book.

4. Today concumers want brands to earn their loyalty.

5. People are using their mobile devices more often for commonly asked questions.

6. The five keys to digital breakthoughs.
