Mr. Paul Damaren Recognized With The “Top 100 F&B Leaders” Award At GSAF Las Vegas, 2020–21
Las Vegas, Nevada — July 3, 2021 — Mr. Paul Damaren, Senior VP of Food Safety, Supply Chain & Cyber Security at Perry Johnson Registrars Food Safety, Inc., was one of the selected few luminaries to be honored with the “Top 100 F&B Leaders” award at the inaugural edition of GSAF, held at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, USA on 29th June-1st July, 2021.
Mr. Paul Damaren has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality, service, and retail agri-food sectors. Prior to joining PJRFSI, Mr. Damaren worked for 16 years in the certification industry working with clients for their food safety, supply chain, health & wellness, brand protection, quality, environmental, health & safety, GMP, automotive, aerospace, medical and information technology requirements.
Before working in the certification industry, Mr. Damaren was a professional Chef/Consultant for 20+ years, working in major hotel chains, restaurants, private golf courses, and food service organizations such as Aramark. He has been a member of the National Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks (C.F.C.C.) for 14 years, member of the Region of Waterloo Culinary Association (R.W.C.A.) for 14 years, President of R.W.C.A. (Region of Waterloo Culinary Association) for 3 years, and National Culinary Ambassador to Russia for 5 years.
His commitment to culinary excellence and his outstanding work to enhance food safety standards made him the perfect choice for the prestigious honor.
Upon receiving the award, he said, “Winning an award is always a wonderful thing but it’s really everybody that helped you get there. The experience at the conference has been great so far. Some of the experts I’ve heard already are from varied backgrounds and have several meetings with certain companies and we are talking about everything from food safety and supply chain to menu creation and many other things, so it’s been wonderful.”
