Work in the AI economy: The job of “Foxes”

Hi, John. Love your work. But I can’t say I’m enthused about the idea that we’re all going to be training AIs. Yikes. I’ve become intrigued by a (to me) much more uplifted vision of AIs and automation taking over our paid work, of universal basic income giving us the cash to keep the economy flowing (assuming cash is still needed), and of humans doing what Maslow (and many other psychologists) suggested three-quarters of a century ago, namely that when our primitive, scarcity-driven needs are met, we’ll self-actualize and do self-transcendent things for the good of the world. These are innumerable, and we’ll never lose our “jobs” again.
