I am always amazed by how many contortions people are willing to go through to make it seem justified that police forced a woman to disrobe in public. Freedom cannot be accomplished by removing women’s choices of clothing! It is as much an overreach and an abuse to demand that women not wear a garment as it is to demand that they do, and in that, France has placed itself on a level with the most conservative and puritan Muslim clerics.
