The question is “How to make even easier for people to follow interests and passions of communities.”

Hashtags represents many interests and passions of communities. The place, which values right to freely express any opinions and ideas more than people behind the words. We can enrich the discoverability of ideas and stimulate the opportunities for people to be inspired by communities, by giving people the opportunity to follow hashtags.

We have to consider the following three things.

  • Users can view tweets from people and brands without following them.
  • Brands will be able to significantly expand their organic reach and advertisers could theoretically pay to boost hashtag-related posts to their target audience members and also collect analytics on hashtag engagement.
  • This could open the door to spam and misuse during the initial rollout, but for sure, there is a capacity and ability to eventually weed out irrelevant posts.

Yes, I know a serious discussions about editing tweets, but personally, while even I am a guy who is not English native, makes typos and grammatical mistakes, this restriction have its pros in many ways, such as I reread and rethink my tweets to better express what I want to say. Period.

I am an avid learner, too curious to know key things and have an information advantage. Reading more than 15 book-articles a year written by design and tech world influencers and industry leaders. Watching key conference, summit, meetup recordings daily. While every event have a #hasthag where they share those articles and recordings, it will be highly beneficial to me to somehow to follow them and be updated.
