We need #GoogleKiller

If you look at Google during the last 5 years it hasn’t really innovated or had any major impact.

They know their Golden egg chicken is Search + Advertising.

None of their other efforts can match what their search business is doing for them, not Android, not Maps, not Email, not Enterprise services, not YouTube, not G+, or any of those other attempts to become everything for everybody on the internet.Of course they make tons of money with these other efforts, but search is a giant compared to them.

Their dominance on the online advertising industry is such that it should be illegal, Google is able to dictate the rules to publishers and advertisers and nobody can complain, they have all the inventory. They’re even about to bully TV/Video content owners into higher rev. share splits on YouTube next year, there’s no stopping this giant it seems.

However, this great search power being their only great power, this position in which they are as the gate keepers of the internet being their true power puts Google at risk of disruption outside their campus, specially as access to more computing and bandwidth becomes affordable, the chance of one or two guys like Larry and Sergey re-ocurring and building a better search engine increases every day, therefore Google needs to monopolize at every level to become the hard to remove status quo, to seem impossible to compete with, and boy are they bullies.

You can see how they’re taking over the entire ecosystem slowly, they’re trying to be your Internet Service Provider (Google Fiber, Google Balloons), they already have 2 operating systems for the consumer (Android, Chrome OS), they own the number one browser in the market (knowing your every move even before you make a search, and learning oh boy are they learning from you) , they own the dominating mobile OS ecosystem, and they certainly want to own the smartest computer engineers they can put their hands on.
