Dear Journal,
On a Thursday rainy night ☔🌂☁🌙
They say unexpected relationships makes for the best kind of them. I can’t believe I’d ever agree with it but it’s oh so true. He had his heartbroken and I wasn’t ready to be into someone else. But fate had other plans. On a Thursday rainy day sitting on an ordinary couch, our eyes met. Again. We smiled, we talked, we laughed. I made him smile and he made my eyes light up. Shia asked us “seriously you don’t wanna go to the vacant room in my house? It’s full of clothes and stuff but I bet y’all would make space for yourselves” and we laughed so hard before we shook ours heads only for you to say “shut up, we’re friends”. Friends huh? Friends don’t wait until you’re alone with them in the street so they can grin at you and make you all confuse only to push you into a hug when 10 o’clock hits. Friends don’t kiss the top of your head in the middle of the street with everyone watching. Friends don’t make other friends confused with their feelings do they now? But here’s what’s funny. We were never friends to begin with. & awkward dates with napkin writing type of communication are things that will remain forever.
