What about top tips for editing your own writing?

Actually more relevant question than my last comment, what are some good tips for editing your own posts?

I seem to be ok at editing other people’s writing, picking out what is impactful and cutting down on the waffle.

But when it comes to my own, I just really struggle to keep it succinct. I guess I get too attached to my own writing and can’t see what is really important.
