Fortunately, mass producing things this way has already started
Why technology will reconnect us to nature

Very interesting topic. I was not aware of growing furniture in ancient or modern societies. And when I read it it made me think that large scale production would not be possible, so I thought that we will then question our whole need for mass production. But you followed up by writing that mass producing this way has already starded. I got confused by this. Can a sustainable society coexist with the words mass production? Are we really aiming at changes by maintaining the way of thinking that we need to fing cheaper ways of producing everything? Maybe if things weren’t supposed to be as cheap as possible we wouldn’t “need” (or “wish” in this case) so many of them. If I buy 2 naturally grown chairs because I need one for myself and one for my partner in my apartment, that may be a need. But if I buy 12 because I can afforde them, even though they were naturrally grown, it turned out to be a wasteful wish. So it was very interesting that the article started with the explanation of this notion. Cool article and vision by the way. Open for discussion, as this was just an observation.
