Dhaulagiri Round Trek is also known as Dhaulagiri Circuit trek. This trek offers 3 weeks challenging but adventurous trek around Annapurna-Dhaulagiri region. Dhaulagiri was discovered at 1808. Dhaulagiri was known as the highest peak in the world for almost 30 years. Dhaulagiri is standing 8167m tall. It is the seventh highest peak in the world. Dhaulagiri literally meaning “white mountain” is unique for its rise of 7000m at an aerial stretch of 30km. This region lies north-west of Pokhara, city of lakes. This trek is less crowded camping trek offering unique and incredible natural and cultural diversity.

Dhaulagiri Round Trek is a challenging trek. It impends two passes over 5000m. On the either side of the deepest gorge, The Kaligandaki gorge, breathtaking view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range is seen. The trek starts at Beni. Beni is around 4 hrs drive from Pokhara. From Beni, leaving the kaligandaki we head west along north bank of Myagdi Khola. Then, we reach Babiya Chaur(970m). Trekking along the trial of Himalayas, passing villages like Darbang, Muri, Bogara and Dobang, we reach Chour Bag Khola Camp. As we proceed on, continuing the trial to the terminal enrockment of the Chhonbarban Glacier, we can have an awesome view of Tukche Peak(6920m) and Dhaulagiri-I(8167m).Furthermore, when we reach Italian Base Camp(3660m). The peaks of Dhaulagiri-III, IV and V makes us feel the magical moment with the mountains. Finally, passing through French Base Camp(3870m),we reach Dhaulagiri Base Camp(4748m). The trek then continues along steep inclination to French Pass(5360m). Then we descend to Dhampus Pass at 5200m. Passing through typical Tibetan villages, Jharkot and Khingar, we reach Marpha. Marpha is particularly famous for apples,apricot and peach wine. The trek finally ends at Tatopani(1160m) after having almost a complete round along Dhaulagiri region.
