Bassmaster, Pelagic, Orvis…They all provide awesome fishing content and products on their Facebook pages, but there are a lot of other great pages you may not know yet. Here are seven [in no particular order] of the best fishing related Facebook pages you may not know yet.

1. Skinny Water Culture

Skinny Water Culture is a company that makes stylish and practical fishing apparel. Their clothing is modern, clean looking, and highly functional for the avid angler. They focus mostly on inshore fishing with a lean towards fly fishing, but their apparel is functional for all sorts of fishing. Even if you are not interested in their apparel, there are lots of high quality fishing photos and useful resources, so give ’em a follow!

2. The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Simmons

I have never been Kayak fishing, so all I can say is the stuff I see on Jim’s Facebook Page is wild. I’ve seen YouTube videos of anglers hooking into Tarpon from kayaks, which seemed like the limit to me. I was very wrong. Jim’s page has videos of angler’s pulling in huge marlin and tanks for groupers on a kayak. And that is only some of what you will find. I am sure if you are a kayak fisherman/woman, you will find the fishing content even more useful!

3. The Fish Whisperer

The Fish Whisperer may be best known for creative YouTube videos covering anything from building a DIY bait pond to awesome videos of Kyle hand feeding Bass. Most fishing videos are fast-paced with lots of music, by Kyle takes a different approach. Up close and often slow-mo videos. It may seem like that would create less interesting videos, but actually it’s quite the opposite. The videos are intense because they have so much suspense and you are waiting for that Bass to go crazy! You can find The Fish Whisperer on Facebook or YouTube.

4. Shallow Waters Expeditions

Shallow Waters Expeditions is a fly fishing outfitter based out of Florida with a focus on Tarpon and Redfish fly fishing [Redfish trips are often run out of Louisiana]. They not only provide pictures of lots of big fish, but the quality of their photos and videos is top notch. The slow-mo videos of Redfish and Tarpon are mesmerizing and will draw in any avid Fly Fisherman. They also provide pretty slick gear on their page and, most of all, they lead once in a lifetime trips!

5. Yakama Nation Hunters and Gatherers

Yakama Nation Hunters and Gatherers

The Yakama Nation Hunters and Gatherers page is a bit different to the other pages I’ve previewed. This page isn’t solely focused on fishing, but gives great insight into the Yakama Nation. If you are interested in learning about the history of the Columbia River fishery, the Native American’s and their culture surrounding the Salmon fishery, or just want to see some huge Salmon, this page will not disappoint. The page shows the value that salmon provides to the Yakama Nation people and demonstrates everything from catching, to smoking, to canning the salmon.

6. Florida Sport Fishing

This page is a glimpse of the diversity of fishing habitats in Florida.. Huge Tarpon, Dorado, Wahoo, Redfish, Marlin, and much more. The page mostly covers awesome photos of great catches from guided fishing trips, but also provides anglers with the best tools from lures to rods to the newest Sonar technology. If you are in Florida or plan on visiting Florida, this unique state has so many different types of fishing you won’t want to miss out! Follow Florida Sport Fishing to see the awesome diversity of fishing.

7. Everything Smallmouth

Not only does Everything Smallmouth have lots of Smallmouth Bass, but it is also a great resource for anglers. I love seeing the photos, but, personally, I also want to learn from the Facebook Pages I follow. Everything Smallmouth definitely does that. They are constantly sharing the newest info and articles for the Bass fishing community. Give ’em a follow if you are not only interested in great photos, but also want to become a better angler.

Bonus: Guidr

Guidr is a new website my team and I are creating. We will be launching this summer and our goal is to create a platform where guides can easily manage their bookings for their trips. We haven’t posted much content yet, but we will offer more blogs and other useful resources in the future! You can check out more at Guidr.org or follow us on our Facebook page.

No matter what page you end up choosing, you really can’t go wrong!
