Brazilian elections
While most of poor Brazilians are voting for the actual President (Dilma), there are two other voters groups split into two others candidates: Aecio and Marina. To understand more what is happening in Brazil we just need to understand who are these people and why they are doing their choices like that. I’ll explain these three voters groups.
In the first group we can find people who vote for the actual government communist (PT), founder of the “Foro de Sao Paulo’’ which is a conference of leftist political parties and other organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean. Basically, the “Foro de Sao Paulo” wants to implement Communism in all countries of South America and Central America. PT, party of the actual government does not recognize FARC as a criminal entity. FARC is part of “Foro de Sao Paulo” as well. After understand this scenario we can understand the PT’s strategy to win the ellections: buying everything. PT has implemented a huge welfare program to distribute money to 14 millions of families (arounf 50 million of people). It means that 25% are not working but PT insists in not count them as unemployeds. Also, PT is spending more money in advertising than huge companies like AMBEV to sell the image that everything is fine in a coutry where 56.000 people are killed per yaer victims of homicides. By the way, PT voters are not made of poor people only. Students who attend Federal universities were educated to think that Communism is a solution for all problems over the world. We can say that poor peoples without education plus blind communist students are 40% of the total electorate.
In the second group we have Aecio’s voters. They are not ignorant people but they are not the majority. Basically, these people started to understand that communism is an utopy and to increase the Brazilian economy we need to adopt the liberalism. Problem is that PSDB is a mix of socialist ideas with a different way to treat the economy. It means that if they win, they will keep the welfare program to distribute money for 14 millions of families. And that is a huge mistake. On the other hand PSDB is famous to privatize companies like Vale. This companies were used to distribube positions for government’s friends in the past. The same is happening now with Petrobras… Recently a huge corruption case was discovered involving a Petrobras director and more the 30 million was deviated. PT is using Petrobras to distribute positions. So, if PT is a really bad choice why PSDB is not the group with the largest number of voters? Remember when I mentioned the blind communist students? They are not small. Most of PSDB voters are old people and young who understood how PT plays with the education. Aecio’s voter are 26% of the total electorate.
In the third group we have the undecideds voters. When you have just bad options does not matter if the other option is bad as well. Marina voters dont really like Marina. They like drama. Before Marina decide to become a candidate she was supporting Eduardo Campos who has died in a flight accident very suspiciois. After his death she decided to be candidate taking his place in the PSB party. One important thing about Marina: She left PT in 2009 after 24 years. One important thing about PSB: Remenber the Foro de Sao Paulo? PSB is part of Foro de Sao Paulo as well. Marina’s voter either have fish memory or don’t have enough information. But it does not matter, they don’t like polictis, the like drama. Marina’s voters are 24% of the total electorate.
If this scenario become true, Dilma and Aecio will chalenge to presidence in a new ellection this year. That ellection will be unpredictable. But I will be back with more information in the right time.
