Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP deep review

Imagine how the world would be without ART. Can you? Probably not. And can you imagine it without POP? Me neither… But POP has gone far from its beginning, and many may say that has become more the road to quick fame, rather than an deep artistic expression of the singer, composer, songwriter or producer. Luckily, ART can overcome POP, and that’s what Gaga’s ARTPOP tries to explain. We don’t have a certain definition for ARTPOP, perhaps it is just the reverse of Andy’s PopArt… Putting this aside, let’s discover what ARTPOP has become.

Still from G.U.Y music video

Right from the start, Lady Gaga teased her Little Monsters, building an intense hype for her upcoming studio album. For some LM’s ARTPOP is just a new Gaga release, with great electro-pop jam with strong beat and catchy lyrics. But is that what Gaga really tried to express? Not really.

ARTPOP is a timeless, inspiring vanguard, that has been meticulously crafted, not only to support the 4th album of the outrageous diva, but also, to push LM’s and other artists, to a whole new era, where ART is in POP.

The songs of the album represent the ultimate expression of Gaga being an artist, not just an Interscope puppet. The uniqueness of the message made this album one of the Lady’s most honest and direct albums. She encourages all her LM’s with the lyrics, images, artRAVE (a big party to promote love, tolerance, equality and kindness ), and heart-melting speeches to create ART and show their artistic power.

“You don’t need a record company, or a manager, or money, what you need is just a canvas and a f*cking paint brush”

With ARTPOP she inspired the whole world, to continue with the rebellion she started from her beginning, but now, using ART as a form of rebellion.

Free your mind, ARTPOP.
