And an overall you seem to miss:
there is no way an average car (hybrid or not) can, at some point in time, start being less harmful for environment. Burning fuel will always generate CO2 (among other things).
Full EV may still have an indirect carbon footprint (point you try to prove for a little bit too long), granted. But they offer the pathway to actually evolve, improve their carbon footprint, and *potentially* be zero-emissions, including indirect ones.

Go try to sort that out with your Mustang.
