Self-management Intensive Week 1
Pete Dignan

Thanks for sharing Pete Dignan! This struck me: “First, it is remarkable how much could be accomplished working closely with people who were nearly complete strangers at the start of the project. I think this is because we came to the effort with shared intentions — we are all involved to learn and grow. We are open to feedback, clarifying questions, and new information.”

It got me thinking about an employee’s first day at work. On that day, one is not quite sure about anything. But because the employee is joining an establishment they go with the flow of the people already there.

This project was everyone’s 1st day at work but we all knew that there was no pre-existing flow. I think this is where the magic happened. Each person was conscious that they needed to figure things out together.
