Chris Ryan, I like your take on this show. My friends and I fell in the “who done it” trap and spent the last week before the finale wrestling with that possible outcome. It turns out thankfully, the writers had something different in mind.
Without repeating the obvious narrative problems that many of us are complaining about, I’m prepared to forgive them a bit more in light of the end. I don’t think any of us have a burning desire to expect a sequel where Prosecutor Weiss and Sgt. Box team up to get the real murder suspect behind bars.
There are more important questions to ponder about prison on the inside vs. the outside, and the walls that separate those boundaries. Regardless of its flaws, I’m pleased the show cast its light away from that common expectation.
