Oh, No! My Child Wants to be a Vegetarian!

Your granddaughter is admirable for making a choice and standing up to it at such young age. I am a vegetarian and recently I read that vegetarians should eat more fat and protiens and less grains. Grains have less nutrition,more of carbs and convert largely into sugar once digested. So they add little value but more weight to our body. Me and my husband are experimenting with this thought and we have found it to be working.
