Mean- The central value or average of discrete set of numbers i.e sum of values divided by the number of values
Population- A population is the number of inhabitants at a given place. No of inhabitants is denoted by N
Sample- A portion of population intended to represent the population. No of inhabitants in the portion is denoted by n
Population Mean- The arithmetic mean of the inhabitants in the population. It is denoted by Greek letter mu (μ).
Sample Mean- The arithmetic mean of the inhabitants in the sample. It is denoted by x̄
