AIPMT syllabus is vast and the competition is tough. Several students appear for the exam each year however only a few are able to get through it. It is at times surprising to know that even the most intelligent of the lot are unable to get through it. Here are some of the biggest mistakes students make while covering AIPMT syllabus that keeps them from cracking the exam:

1. Overlook the Importance of Study Plan

One of the biggest mistakes most students make is that they begin with their preparation without devising a study schedule. It is important to devise a workable study plan to follow a systematic study approach. This will help you keep a tab on the topics you have covered and those that are still pending. Your plan must be such that it helps you cover the entire AIPMT syllabus on time and gives you enough time for revision.

2. Avoid Regular Revision

Many students are busy mugging up chapter after chapter that they forget the importance of regular revision in order to retain them well. As you study newer chapters day after day to cover your AIPMT syllabus, it is essential for you to squeeze in some time each day to revise the previous ones in order to make sure you do not forget them.

3. Avoid Practicing

While having a thorough knowledge about the formulas and the concepts help you solve the equations, you would not be able to solve them as quickly and accurately in your exams if you do not practice them well enough. Many students make the mistake of merely reading through the formulas and get stuck when it actually comes to solving the equations.

4. Neglect the Importance of Notes

It is very essential to prepare your own notes by referring to different books, study material and the information collated during your class. Juggling between all these sources is the worst thing to do as you sit to revise your AIPMT syllabus. However, many students overlook the importance of preparing notes and end up wasting a lot of time and missing out on important points because of this.

5. Go Overboard

Many students make the mistake of going overboard with the preparation. They overlook the importance of eating and sleeping on time. They do not even understand the necessity to take a break in between. While it is important to give your whole and sole attention to the upcoming exam, immersing yourself in the preparation this way only results in ill health and also mars your ability to concentrate and grasp. Make sure you have your meals on time, take adequate sleep and also take breaks in between to stay energized and fresh.
