YOU WILL NEVER PROCRASTINATE AGAIN IF YOU KNOW THIS !

There is nothing more common than wasted talent. I guess all of you reading this, will agree with it. She wanted to learn English , she wanted to be a top ballet dancer , he wanted to be a successful entrepreneur, but she couldn’t , she couldn’t and he couldn’t . How many of us fall in the above category ?
Recently I realized that I was putting off reading a very important book in my curriculum. I knew it was important and I knew I could do it also I knew it would fetch me a lot of marks , but still somehow I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I would fall asleep , or finish another episode of my favourite Netflix series. At the end of the day , I would feel bad and incompetent , because it was quite difficult to escape from the reality that I had wasted a day.
One week before I realized that I had to do something about it . I researched a lot and after reading a lot of articles and seeing n number of vedios , I was finally enlightened with the reason of why I was doing it.
I thought I was lazy , sometimes I thought it was because of the lack of time , sometimes I blamed my health or my mood . I could give an endless list here. But then the correct answer was something very different from what I had thought.
It was STRESS. Your mind has a mind of it’s own . It works in a specific way . It likes to do things which make you feel good. Any activity likely to cause any discomfort or any stress on your body will be avoided . You are instead led into thinking about any other activity which will make you feel good.
We create a bubble around ourselves. For example — many people make timetables and just thinking that this will help them finish their work on time makes them happy and stress free. The work finishing activity in real requires hard work and a bit of discomfort and when you don’t want to do that , you sit out making another timetable. This becomes an endless cycle.
So what needs to be done is TAMING YOUR BRAIN. And how do we go about doing that ? You need to break down your task into smaller chunks and talk to yourself about how small a portion you’ll be covering . Talk more often to yourself , make your brain believe that the work won’t annoy you, it’s small and easy.
You do this and trust me , things fall into place. It’s better to have a slow pace than doing nothing at all.
