To start freelancing what you firstly require is a skill or niche, this could be anything — writing code, blogging, conducting data science, UX design etc.

Once the skill is chosen, courses/traning programs in that skill must be done and maybe land an internship. During the internship, it is best to learn as much as possible and a portfolio of work samples should be built. After a portfolio is built, it is best to reach out to clients with a pitch. Write great cover letters around the job post and explain why you are a good candidate.
