Daily Musings: 12th April 2017
Wolfgang Van Halen was just 15 when he became the bassist for Van Halen, a band featuring his father and his uncle following Michael Anthony’s departure.
That itself was fairly surprising. Even more so, Tye Trujillo, the 12 year old son of Metallica bassist Robert (also formerly of Suicidal Undecideds and Black Label Society), will play bass with Korn during their South American dates this spring while Fieldy is away due to “unforeseen” circumstances.
The younger Trujillo is quite an accomplished bassist and it just goes to show if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.
Juventus meanwhile beat Barcelona 3–0. You really feel this is the end. Juventus have the best defence in Europe by quite some distance.
I also feel Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli are both far better than Giorgio Chiellini. Cheilini looks good because he makes lot of tough tackles, but Bonucci and Barzagli read the game well, so they don’t have to. They got rid of the danger before they have to make the the last ditch crunching tackles.
I feel the best central defensive duos are where one plays it composed and the other is absolutely bat crazy.
I’ll comment more on Dortmund when there’s more details known.
The United Airlines Chief Executive, Oscar Munoz has expressed “shame and embarrassment” over the controversy following the removal of David Dao.
He only does so because of the backlash on the stock markets, his emails painted another story. If airlines stop overbooking, that’d be a good business opportunity, right?
