Total misunderstanding. A carbon tax is not regressive if it goes back to citizens equally. As social security and Alaska’s payment of income to citizens from oil extraction demonstrate, administrative costs and minimal- certainly smaller than the private sector. And for people who respect science and care about their kids, the threat of global warming is reduced.

As for the people who do not care about their kids and do not respect science- well, there is no arguing with the deliberately and proudly ignorant.
