My first Immersive VR experience
I have played in a immersive VR twice, once in Playstation 4 VR and another one wearing an Oculus Rift. However I’m going to talk about my experience playing a demo game in PS4.
Game: Until Dawn — Rush of Blood
The game starts in a rollercoaster car inside a tent. A man shows up to teach you about the game.
It is really scary when the dark comes and you can hear and see a person running and hidding. Then she appears in front of you. That was the worst part for me because you are immerse and you can experience those scary feelings. It is a mixture of 3D environment and scary player videos.
Why Does this Need to be in VR?
As well as in a horror movie it is important to be dark to have a terrifying sensation, so when you are wearing the glasses you are immersed in the scene.
The sound involves you emotionally inside the game. And you can shoot at ghosts and objects that come in your direction.
The Conclusion
Although the game has all those good things, I had problems handling the gun in some situations when you have to shoot a lot at some direction because the speed to change to another position does not synchronize with the direction of the gun.
However, I believe that it was worth playing this game to experience those terrifying feelings.
