I often say, “La silla es verde” to people I suspect can speak Spanish. I think they appreciate the time I spent in the language lab practicing such phrases. I’ve been looking for an opportunity to ask, ¿Donde esta la casa de Pepe? my whole life, but you know what? In over 35 years of waiting, the proper situation has never presented itself.

One last thing, I call the boss, “mi vieja” behind her back, but nobody where I live is picking up what I’m laying down.
