Thanks for responding, and I apologize if I was being preachy or pontificating. Your initial post is all the more interesting given your background. It is shocking.

This is the second sincere response I’ve written about religion in the past two days. I’m here for laughs, and I try to wear my religion lightly, but, like you, sometimes I want to respond. Christmas, I must admit, softens me up. I’m a sucker for baby Jesus.
