I am a big Cheever fan, and I think that his story The Enormous Radio envisioned the problems of social media and reality television before either existed.

I think about him a lot. He was bad to his wife and kids, and I haven’t read his novels, but his short stories informed my adolescence and helped me make sense of the world.
