This, to me, is the all Internet bona fides you need, for those of us committed to the creative underclass know that Deadspin has always had the best commenters.

If you stick around here you’ll find hat while Medium is a good place to write, it’s a horrible place to comment. There isn’t a commenter on these boards in possession of even an atom of wit or funny. That goes for me, too. I was once “in the black” on a couple of Gawker boards and now… look at me… this comment is so flabby and out of shape I’m even boring myself.

I used to hang with Tomato Face. I had game, then I took an arrow to the knee.

Sorry to see you here. The Deadspin implosion is to the old Internet as the 1937 Preakness was to horse racing. I just made that up. I have no idea what happened at the 1937 Preakness, but I wanted to use a sports analogy and couldn’t think of one.

Let me try again. The death of Deadspin is like Joe Pisarchek’s fumble on the one-yard-line against Philadelphia… horrible to watch EVEN IF you are full of beer and hot dogs.

I hope you find a worthy home. Tell us where you land.
