Hi Caitlin:

I am pushing back important deadlines because I have information for you that cannot wait one more second.

If you have heard about this already please get more familiar with it. It spells out the method of keeping yet another revolution against King’s power from not becoming another shift of power from one king group to another king group. This is the answer to the age old question “How to share the Earth?”

Are not all of our conflicts centered on sharing Earth and her resources? Are not even religious conflicts primarily an excuse to steal and kill and oppress? I think so.

Henry George spelled out the very simple, very far reaching and very hard to corrupt method of sharing the Earth in Progress and Poverty, Why There Are Recessions And Poverty Amid Plenty And What To Do About It (1879). Bob Drake abridged it for modern readers in 2006 and made it available free in PDF and audiobook. I recommend beginning with the Afterward by Agnes DeMille.

This is certainly the place to begin the world wide conversation about keeping power and money distributed in a fair and just way so that Sapien Sapiens can again balance the drives of competition and cooperation as was much more easily done prior to class society.

Greed, like gravity, is not going away any time soon. However it can be taxed. It can be held with checks and balances similar to the way the Constitution divides political power among the three branches of government. Greed can be pressed into service just as we press gravity into service with hydro electric power and with the keystone arch. And not only can this be done very simply with existing machinery of government, doing so will cascade an astounding array of benefits throughout society and commerce including an almost immediate end to pollution of all kinds. Waste of resources will be immediately unprofitable because the resources of the Earth, which are the birthright of all, will become the source of revenue for ALL public expenses. Furthermore personal initiative, unencumbered by taxes, will be set free to flourish and expand. I call this the Footprint Tax because we each will be taxed only according to the tax we each place upon the ecosystem.

As Thomas Jefferson said “The Earth in usufruct belongs to the living.”

Sincerely,

‘Josh’ Guy Josserand III
