Generation Y needs meritocracy

After a year at my first job out of college I was feeling what most Generation Ys feel - bored, unchallenged, untested, underpaid, and the opportunities that would propel me to “the next level” were out of reach. Sure, I didn’t know what “the next level” was, but I knew the next level got paid a lot more. I also knew that, everyone would exclaim that I was intelligent and talented beyond my years once I got there. If you’re a Gen Y, then you know the [pipe dream] feeling I’m talking about.
