The history of creation of J’adore perfume by Christian Dior

If to tell “the real French perfume for women” then the perfumery products from fashion house Dior recur to the memory. I will tell you about creation of one of the most known perfume Dior — J’adore.

Once, having seen shop among a large number of Dior J’adore eau de parfum, it became interesting to me — why they have such form? I thought — likely, it was created — because it is so beautiful …. Also forgot. But now, when on TV daily advertizing of this perfume, I decided to study the history of their creation. So why it is such? What inspired the author when created it?
J’adore eau de parfum appeared only 15 years ago, but already became classics. Classics is always relevant, especially when it is generated Dior — a synonym of haute couture.

History of the house Dior

Christian Dior declared himself more half a century back. The ingenious couturier did not stop on dresses. He not only dressed models, but also complemented their images with perfume. In 1942 he created the laboratory which later turned into Cristian Dior Perfume corporation.

“Perfume, — the legendary couturier used to say, is the last stroke of the created image. Without them there will be no identity”.

The first perfume Dior

The first trial step in the world of perfumery was very successful: “Miss Dior” who is let out in 1947 subdued Parisians, and behind them — and the whole world. The crystal bottle in the form of an amphora was decorated with an elegant bow. Later the bottle changed the form and became rectangular.

Then “Diorama”, Dior Eau Fraiche and landyshevy Diorissimo followed.

Since 1966 the couturier began to please also men. Its first perfume for men of “Eau Sauvage” is popular and still.

And from the 70th Dior begins to add oriental motives of east compositions to the creations. Dioressence and “J’adore Dior” are so created.

Сreation J’adore Eau de Parfume

Christian Dior dreamed to create an image of the modern woman. The businesswoman who is not tired out with a working rhythm and not the careerist. Then women had to perform a lot of man’s work. It was very difficult to remain at the same time fragile and serene. The perfumery collection of New Look became the first sampler of such image. Exulting, stunning, it literally blew up the world of fashion.

Therefore in 1999 “Dior J’adore” the public apprehended the same emancipated composition with a bang. In this aroma the infinite sensuality and femininity mixed up with impudence and freedom.

The talented perfumer Kalis Becker found that combination of flower and fruit notes which affects men safely.

At first the model from Estonia Carmen Kass who represented the majestic Aphrodite born in liquid foam gold in the commercial became the face of aroma. Since 2004 the Hollywood star of Charlize Theron became a muse of perfume.

About that bottle

Freedom and impudence which are contained in a smell needed worthy registration. The bottle bears a faint resemblance to the small bottle created for a series of New Look. It is an amphora which reminds a female silhouette. The bottle for this aroma was developed by the designer Hervé van der Streten.

The transparent bottle with golden shades gracefully passes into a narrow neck reminds antique antiquity. It is covered by rings which hang down a little as a necklace from a neck of the queen of the tribe Masai. The crystal sphere from above gives completeness of all composition. The bottle very clearly warns: it has not usual pleasant spirits inside, but difficult ambiguous aroma, a little extravagant, but classical.

Cost of J’adore by Christian Dior

Brand perfume is expensive, but its cost completely answers quality. This perfume is included into ten “gold classics”. Now perfumery shops offer tens of bottles with a treasured abbreviation of CD. The price impresses, but we know that — it is worth it! In 70 years of the existence the brand became a criterion of quality, style and elegance. Whether monsieur Dior dreamed of it?
