Prof Gert-Jan van Rooyen is the co-founder of several technology ventures based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, including Fanfire (enterprise Web3 solutions), Octoco (technology management consulting), and Custos (information security). He is Associate Professor Extra-Ordinary in Industrial Engineering at Stellenbosch University, where he supervises research in the Internet of Things and Blockchain applications.
