These are clearly articulated thoughts. While I don’t agree the part about a mass exodus, I do believe he clearly understands the cultural issues involved.
Some of the comments offer insight also, until the bozos start arguing, about 10 comments deep.
I do believe some divisions are going to have some real work to keep unity, without uniformity, in the larger church. It might be better for the NAD, TED, and others to be more independent of the GC, without withdrawing financial, religious, and social support. We should not use or financial resources like a club, but we do need more autonomy from the "control" of the GC.
Hierarchy and control have no place in Western society in the 21st century, but are still necessary in many second and third world cultures. I understand that, and we need to allow that. But like an older sibling going of to college, we need to continue to reassure our younger siblings of our love, support their maturation, and value their own growth.
It will be difficult for them to see us go our own way, but with our reassurance, they will be OK.
