More predictable bullshit.

One problem (well, more than one, but I’m only going to address one of them here) with your theory there, Wesley.

The laws against treason require enmity with the other country.

18 U.S. Code § 2381 — Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their ENEMIES [emphasis mine], giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

We are not currently in any sort of state of hostility with Russia. In fact, they are our ALLIES in certain endeavors. What Trump Jr. did was no more illegal than talking with someone from England, or Mexico, or Canada, because there is no state of war between us and Russia. Maybe this will jar your memory:

KOLOTH: Captain Kirk, there’s been no formal declaration of hostilities between our two respective governments. So, naturally, our relationship will be a peaceful one.
KIRK: Let us both take steps to keep it that way.
KOLOTH: Of course.

That’s all the meeting with Don Jon Jr. amounted to. This petulant whingeing that “Trump Jr. committed TREASON” is just idiotic. There was no action with an enemy of the United States, no aid and comfort, no warfare against the US, in the first place. And getting voted into office is the one way that is NOT “overthrowing” government. It’s the method that ISN’T overthrowing the government. Pretty much the only one, as a matter of fact.

It isn’t “whataboutism” to point out that Hillary, while a member of the United States Government, made deals to sell off a third of the country’s uranium to Russia. If just TALKING to a Russian is to you treasonable, then it follows that providing Russia with the fissionable materials to blow America off the globe should count as SOMETHING bad, shouldn’t it? Pointing out that someone else did something as bad or worse doesn’t necessarily win the argument, but it does require one to justify why it is okay for one but not the other.

Hillary has been trying to take over this country by hook or by crook since Saul Alinsky was her mentor, and if you don’t know that, you haven’t been paying attention.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
