Workout Reflections: “Stronglifts 5x5” and “Ice Cream Fitness”

Since this blog was written, it looks like SL has added the ability to do supplementary exercises. This is good for the first few weeks when you’re doing 50% of your 5RM but once you start getting heavier, I would advise just sticking to the 3 main lifts. The combination of the 5 sets, plus 5 warmup sets means that my workouts went from 45 mins to 1h30 mins. The SL app is supper slick and easy to use and the plate calculator is a life saver for people like me.
