5TH ANNUAL D.C. HEALTH & WELLNESS “BACK 2 SCHOOL” FESTIVAL IN AUGUST
Greater Washington Urban League Unites Regional Advocates for Free Screenings
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — Today the Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL) announced that it will join forces with regional partners and friends to provide free health & wellness services to children and families at the 5th Annual Health and Wellness Back-2-School Festival.
The festival includes kid-friendly activities and entertainment for the entire family and will provide free health screenings in: vision, dental, lead, blood pressure, HIV, glucose and Body Mass Index (BMI). Community partners of GWUL will also donate resources (such as free bookbags) for children-in-need to use in the upcoming school year. In addition, free barber and hair styling services will be provided for children of all ages at the event.
