Microsoft Reborn

I never thought I’d say this, but I’m kinda liking the new era Microsoft.

I guess when your beloved OS loses momentum (I’m looking at you Windows 8), it opens the door for more cross platform goodness. Office being offered as a free download, both on iOS and Android is something that would have been unheard of not so long ago. And now with the recent announcement of an open sourced .NET framework, things are starting to get a whole lot more interesting.

I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of MS Office, but I love C# as a programming language, and I’d love to find a way of using it on a daily basis once again.

Who knows what’s next for Microsoft, but my ears are certainly wide open. Let’s hope their ongoing philosophy remains more open too.
