Sells 3.3 million times in three days
Marvel’s Spider-Man was sold 3.3 million times worldwide in a matter of three days. This makes it the fastest-selling first-party game on a PlayStation console ever.
That means the game has been sold faster than all other Sony games on all PlayStation consoles, including Horizon: Zero Dawn and the God of War games. The God of War game which was released earlier this year held the previous record. Spider-Man is also the fastest selling superhero game ever.
Spider-Man is available exclusively for PlayStation 4, developed by Insomniac Games (Sunset Overdrive, Ratchet, and Clank) and published by Sony. The game revolves around the comic strip hero who has to stop several villains in New York.
