There is never any excuse to demonize a raped child. She could have defended her client without that. Frankly, I question the morals of a lot of what defense attorneys do, while recognizing they’re necessary for our justice system to operate. You can slap all the fancy political rhetoric on it that you want, but in the end demonizing a raped child is what it is. You know in your heart only an evil person would do such a thing. There may be necessary evils involved with keeping our system afloat, but we need not give an evil person free reign over our nation’s highest office.
