Tearing statues down do not change a single thing. It reminds us of what happened in the past and how we can and should be better. These statues can represent progression — Where we were and where we are now, something to be proud of(Strides made in equality). Bringing down a statue won’t undo history. History is there to remind us of how to(or -not) do things in the future. Don’t let the statues win by tearing them down — By tearing them down you admit they have power over you. Let history stay history.
